WORKSHOPS & WELLNESS

Build Your Retreat Around the Work

Dragonwood is for facilitators planning wellness, writing, arts-and-crafts, and reflective group retreats during the June-through-October guest season.

The Haven provides a climate-controlled indoor gathering space connected to the Bunk House. The three-season Fish House is a small waterfront place for reading, writing, drawing, or reflection. The three-season Design Studio supports drawing, painting, beads, rocks, and simple craft projects.

The Main House and Bunk House sleep 25 combined, and the separate three-person Airstream may be available by request. Because room setup, session flow, meals, and accessibility needs vary, the first step is a direct fit conversation.

BEFORE YOU INQUIRE

Confirm the retreat fit, not just the setting

A useful first conversation covers where everyone will sleep, how each session needs to work, and which operational details matter to your group.

01 · LODGING

Map the overnight group

Main House and Bunk House sleep 25 combined. Ask separately about the three-person Airstream, and use the current booking listings for rates, minimum stays, fees, and policies.

02 · PROGRAM

Describe the work and meals

Share your session type, room arrangement, schedule, and technology needs. If meals are part of the retreat, Dragonwood handles event catering from its licensed commercial kitchen.

03 · ACCESS

Name mobility and privacy needs

The Main House has a ground-floor bedroom and accessible bathroom with a roll-in shower; the property has gravel access. Staff work on the land, and daytime activity can sometimes overlap.

WHAT MAKES THIS DIFFERENT

Why

Grid-Tied Solar

A grid-tied solar system serves the property, with a backup generator for outages.

A Lakefront Setting

Eighteen wooded acres and roughly 1,200 feet of shoreline on Manhanock Pond.

Warrior Confidence Course

A Ninja Certified Warp Wall, cargo nets, rings, and a peg board built among the trees.

Creative Spaces

The three-season Design Studio and Fish House support simple making, writing, reading, and reflection.

Hosted Meals

Dragonwood handles event catering from its licensed commercial kitchen; discuss your group and meal plan when you inquire.
